Hezekiah Sumner
Hezekiah Sumner was born c1750, and believed to have been born in Wales. He married
Mary Hall in 1815. They had the following
children:

Priscilla
Isiah
Owen Sumner (Reverend)
Hezekiah is listed as a soldier in Capt. Esom's Company 31, Botetourt County, VA, in August 31,
1782. He bought land on both sides of the Little River in Botetourt County. He also bought adjacent
land in Montgomery County in 1790. There are deed transfers from Hezekiah to Edward Hall, Levi Holliday,
Isiah Sumner, and Owen Sumner. Tradition said that Hezekiah was a coal miner.
Hezekiah Sumner died in 1823 in Montgomery County, VA.
