John Sumner
John Floyd Sumner was born in Floyd County, VA. He married
Louise Jane Mullins of Kentucky.
Records indicate that they had seven children, two females and five males. One of the males was
Frank James Sumner.
John Sumner was killed in a coal mine accident on March 13, 1913 and is buried in
Hurts Cemetery, Hill Top, WVA. To our knowledge, Louise Mullins Sumner did not re-marry.
